Over the past 22 years, Robbie Nelson has worked in the public and private sectors focusing on health products and services relating to infectious disease, family planning and reproductive health programs. In 2010 Robbie joined the US Military HIV Research Program (MHRP), where he continues to implement management tools to improve and expand research activities, strengthen clinical care and treatment programs and has consistently achieved PEPFAR and PMI objectives under the Ambassador for the United States in Nigeria. Prior to joining MHRP, he worked in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries for 12 years focusing on infectious disease, working with stakeholders around the world to improve public health programs. From 1993-1997 he worked in East and Southern Africa implementing social marketing tools and volunteered as a teacher with the United States Peace Corps in Tanzania.
