From July 22-27, the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) will convene more than 20,000 delegates from nearly 200 countries in Washington, D.C.
The AIDS 2012 programme will present new scientific knowledge and offer many opportunities for structured dialogue on the major issues facing the global response to HIV. Below is a list of MHRP-related activities:

Title: The Role of Vaccines in Ending the Pandemic

Title: Walter Reed Uganda Male Circumcision Program

Details: The Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) in Uganda booth will provide a learning point for Medical Male Circumcision (MMC) for program directors, providers, and others by showcasing MUWRP’s achievements. MUWRP will be offering an example of a multi-pronged approach to MMC provision through the use of static and mobile services as well as a national MMC training centre located in Kayunga, Uganda. Information about the safe provision of MMC services and a solution for providing MMC services to rural, most-at risk-populations via a mobile surgical clinic will be displayed, described, and disseminated.
