The TRUST/RV368 study reflects the dual MHRP mission in Nigeria to promote HIV prevention and treatment as well as HIV research. This prospective cohort study of 1200 men who have sex with men (MSM) is being conducted at two urban centers: Abuja, in North-Central Nigeria, and Lagos, in Southwest Nigeria.

The University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria conduct the TRUST study in Abuja and MHRP/DoD Nigeria conducts the RV368 study in Lagos. MHRP Nigeria assists the TRUST study by providing facilities to test samples for sexually transmitted infections.

RV368 enrolls MSMs 18 years and older, who are willing to be followed up for 18 months in Lagos, Nigeria.
