MAJ Gina L. Griffith serves as the Assistant Chief of Clinical Immunology in the Department of Vaccine Research and Development for the U.S. Military HIV Research Program. MAJ Griffith's current research efforts are focused on HIV vaccine research investigating the role of innate immunity on the development of neutralization breadth. Her prior research at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research in San Antonio focused on advanced ocular treatments for the Warfighter including the development of ocular wound chamber technology for the preservation of ocular structures and periocular tissues. MAJ Griffith received her PhD from the Department of Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Her dissertation work focused on corneal epithelial wound healing and therapeutics to treat ocular wounds and infections.
